Depression Treatment E-Book Reviews
For
The
Best Depression Treatment E-Books Reviewed
by: Alexander Matis, MSc
There are various e-books on
depression treatment on the market that promise to assist the
depression patient in fighting depression or that even claim to help
her beat depression once and for all. While some of them really offer
good value and are helpful in dealing with depression there are as
always many others that seem to have just been written to make some
quick money out of patients without any intention to really helping
them.
It is our aim to provide a personal review and ranking on various
commercially available e-books on depression and depression treatment
to help you make a decision, which e-books may be right for you, and
which ones you should rather avoid. If you have tested any of the
mentioned e-books or any e-book not covered here please let us
know your experience so that we can post it here. It will be most
helpful to fellow depression sufferers.
You Can
Heal Your Depression Now, by Gwynne Curry
Written by former long-time depression
sufferer Gwynne Curry this e-book provides a great compilation of very
useful mental techniques and exercises to combat depression that have
helped Gwynne and many others to stay depression free. Through trial
and error Gwynne has developed and combined these techniques, which are
based on her experiences with (among others) neurolinguistic
programming, native american indian treatments, hypnotherapy, and mind
development courses over time into a powerful mix of exercises to be
used on their own or in combination with traditional medicine. The book
is written in an easy to understand and highly practical way. Readers
of her book claim that it has truly helped them to beat depression in a
practical and profound way. It is well worth its $29.00 and can be
bought here.

Seven Steps
to a Depression Free Life, by Nancy Miller
Nancy Miller, a former
depression patient and a successful life coaching practioner with a
psychology background provides a 7 Step Self-Help Guide for the
depressed that is highly helpful. While being somewhat more traditional
than the e-book by Gwynne Curry it also provides a great outline of the
steps necessary to build your own unique winning strategy to end your
struggle with depression. Written on the basis of Nancy's vast personal
experience the book is realistic, yet very inspirational and highly
helpful for anyone suffering from depression. It is an absolutely
recommended read and does combine very well with "You
Can Heal Your
Depression Now". You can get it here
for just $29.99.

Understanding
Depression, by Elise Cassidy
"Understanding Depression" provides a general overview over depression,
the types of depression, depression symptoms and diagnosis and
depression treatment options. Overall, it is just a compendium of
publicly available information, which you can easily access through
e.g. www.beatdepression.org
and other depression resources. If you want to get this information
compiled in a nicely formatted e-book for $35.00, you can get it here.

The
SelfSteps Program, by Dayne Hessen
While the "SelfSteps Program"
is technically no depression treatment e-book I decided to include it
in this list anyway because it deals with ways to beat chronic anxiety
and panic attacks, which are both often associated with depression. The
SelfSteps Program seems quite expensive for $64.00. However, what you
actually get is 5 great e-books that help you beat anxiety, and
insomnia. Dayne had suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for almost
10 years and finally managed to create a self-help program based on his
long-standing personal experiences with anxiety that is truly
exceptional, as is also testified by the praises of his many readers
who were able to beat anxiety and panic attacks through using the
techniques described in his e-book. If anxiety and panic attacks are
part of your problems check out this e-book here.
