people with family members who have suffered or are suffering from
depression or any related mental illness) should actively work on
preventing depression. But how to prevent depression?
In short: By living a good life-style. You can prevent depression by
avoiding extreme stress, getting proper sleep and a healthy nutrition
including e.g.: fish, fresh fruit and vegetables (no fast food), doing
sports and exercises, best done in nature, surrounding yourself with
friends and family members who are enjoyable, etc. While all of these
are no guarantee that you will never experience depression, they go a
long way to prevent depression and to beat depression, if you get it.
